I know I haven't blogged in a couple of weeks. I've been fighting through spare football play. Plenty of cheers and jeers to go around. (Thanks Matt)
Cheers to Nebraska for remaining head and shoulders above everybody else in the conference. Will be a big blow next year when they leave but they'll be counting that $20 million every year. Maybe they're bored now and will mix in the forward pass this week against Texas. I mean, when your quarterback rushes for 241 yards on only 14 carries and 4 TD's, why not?? They're gonna score 50 anyway.
Jeers to Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman for not pulling Jerrod Johnson. He is turning the ball over like he's getting paid to fix games and is literally destructing the team all by himself. He's just lost out there. At least A&M's defense has kept them in games.
Cheers to TCU for being the big dog football program in the state of Texas. Sorry, Longhorns, not this year. TCU has the better players and athletes.
Jeers to Texas' running game. All these 4 and 5 star recruits and you can't find a running back or decent o-line?? Tells you how valuable Vince Young and Colt McCoy were to your offense, being mobile QB's.
Cheers to Okie Lite. We didn't really know what you were going to have coming into the season, but looking pretty good so far. You're averaging a thousand yards a game on offense....now play somebody.
Jeers to Texas Tech for letting the perennial powerhouse Iowa State hang 52 on them. Tuberville seems a little too laid back for my taste. Kinda sad when you can say the Cyclones basically scored at will.
Cheers to OU for just getting it done. They're wins aren't pretty but are now 5-0 and in the driver's seat in the pitiful and weak ass Big 12 South.
And finally, jeers to Baylor and Tech for selling out half the Cotton Bowl. I'm pretty sure there were less than 45,000 fans there and it looked like a high school game. Way to travel and support your team. I'm sure RG3 is still blaming himself today and thinks he should have gotten out there and played defense if the little Bears were going to have any shot to win in the end.
That's all I got for now. Check back later in the week because I'll be back to blogging regularly.
